We are excited to share with you the Parkinson Society Central & Northern Ontario Toolbar. It will serve as a new way for you to help support CNO, along with the integrated CNO Mall. With this Toolbar we will raise much needed funds without you writing a cheque or selling a product!

Our toolbar (pictured above) is an opportunity for you to raise money and show your support for CNO simply by incorporating it into your everyday use of the internet. We continue to appreciate your support of our events and initiatives but hope that this 'passive' fundraiser provides you with an opportunity to help CNO meet its mission with little to no effort on your part.

This Toolbar will not replace your existing toolbar. The features on the Toolbar are all designed to help us raise funds in a non-intrusive way. There is no cost to you. There are no pop-ups, adware, spyware or tracking and we also respect the user’s privacy (be sure to read the terms of agreement and privacy statement included at the link below). Performing 2-5 searches a day on something you are interested in and clicking on sponsored links, because those links help you with the information you are looking for, will help us reach our goals faster! A Note on the Process:

Yahoo has requested that we ask everyone to talk with their supporters and educate the end users to only do searches in a “natural and organic way”.

In other words only do searches you normally would do and only do searches on items of interest and only click on sponsored links if you genuinely think the information available will be valuable to you.

Use the internet to expand your knowledge, to have fun, to learn and to make your life more efficient… Also to only click on sponsored links because those sponsors have information you can use. Support the sponsors when you can and respect the fact that they pay to be in those positions and want your support and business.

Bottom line; do your normal every day searches on the search engine located on your organizations customized toolbar to support an organization you are passionate about. Only do searches you are interested in and only click on sponsored links because those sponsors can help you with information, services or products you are looking for.

Quality of Search - This is the term Yahoo! uses to rate each search. Quality of Search measures things like time spent on a web site and the number of pages visited. It is important for the longevity of the program that we maintain a good Quality of Search Rating, which is why we encourage searches that are of interest to you. Just as important, click only on Sponsored Results that have information you believe will help you. After all, sponsors want people to visit their sites—that’s why they pay to be in the top positions when you search. At the same time, they really only want visitors who truly want and could benefit from the information they put on their web sites.
